Quoting Specialist

The Quotations Specialist is responsible for providing lighting controls design services to the sales group and clients in the form of lighting control design and quotation, submittal documentation, riser diagrams, load schedules, layouts, and any additional items to complete a controls package.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications, architectural and electrical drawings as well as providing takeoffs from blueprints.
• Experience in wiring diagrams, electrical engineering, or lighting layouts.
• Knowledge of basic electrical concepts including wiring and troubleshooting
• Ability to convey design concepts through technical drawings, utilizing clear and concise drafting methods.
• Ability to prioritize daily activities and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet the needs of our sales group.
• Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Bluebeam software a plus.
• Provide accurate and knowledgeable product specifications, application, and installation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a Lighting Controls Bill of Materials that is cost efficient while meeting the basis of design provided by engineering/architectural drawings and specifications.
• Drafting project submittal documentation to support projects quoted.
• Perform drawing revisions and tracking changes throughout the project submittal process.
• Develop and maintain library of wiring drawings for products and system design typical.
• Ability to set up or program basic control systems to meet customer needs.
• Provide technical and design support via phone, email, conference call or video conferencing to engineers, electricians, rep agents, customers, and sales group.

Travel Requirements:

• This position may require minimal travel when required for trade shows, training, or job start-up and commissioning. Typical travel is less than 10%.
• Travel duration for a typical start-up is 3-5 days. Most travel occurs between Monday and Friday.

Benefits:

• Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 depending on experience.
