The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, and executing all aspects of our marketing strategy. This role will focus on creating, implementing, tracking, and optimizing digital and traditional multi-channel marketing programs. This position requires strong project management skills, exceptional communication, and an ability to translate business goals and strategies into measurable marketing plans and tactics.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborates with leaders and key stakeholders to design and produce effective marketing campaigns and materials.

Prepares, develops, and distributes printed and digital content to support external marketing and/or internal communication strategies and plans.

Consistently follows brand and style guidelines and performs proof-reading duties to ensure accuracy of materials and communications.

Collaborates with management in designing and executing on best practice communication processes and channels for the business (internal and external).

Manages company’s digital strategy presence, including the company website, ensuring all information is accurate and aligned to our strategic goals.

Manages advertising schedule; creates and distributes advertising content to appropriate channels.

Lead for local events; accountable for brand consistency and pre-and-post marketing tactics.

Maintains marketing calendar tracking events and trainings, campaigns, promotions, and other marketing activities.

Helps design social media strategy in alignment with overarching business objectives; executes on social posts and measures effectiveness of social campaigns.

Stays abreast of market trends and conducts local research to identify customer trends and demographic data.

Establishes and maintains relationships with community area experts through networking and prospecting.

Ability to develop a marketing budget, pair measurable tactics with the budget, and ensure expenditures remain within budget.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain an upbeat and positive attitude.

Ability to translate business goals and strategies into marketing plans and tactics.

Strong project management and organizational skills from conception following through to execution.

Willingness to propose ideas, navigate ambiguity and manage multiple competing priorities.

Communicates professionally and effectively both verbally and written, across a variety of audiences and personalities.

Knowledge and application of digital marketing, including email marketing, social media marketing, website strategy and design, and search engine optimization.

Analytical, understanding how marketing efforts and budget tie back to business outcomes and desired results.

Self-starter, with ability to manage time well, multitask, and work with minimal supervision.

2-5+ years of Marketing experience required.

Experience working within a non-profit highly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Photo editing software.

Experience with Canva and Mail Chimp a plus.

Physical requirements of the job:

The ability to lift up-to 20lbs.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
