POSITION SUMMARY:

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator champions and drives all activities concerned with continuous improvement for all company locations, driving the organization towards efficient operations. Demonstrate and guide the company into LEAN principles.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Process Engineers

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Leading CI Teams at each plant

· Lead Kaizen projects

· Process Improvements

· Cycle times

· 5S

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support company safety policies, maintain safety requirements, wear proper PPE

· Follow and support all company core values

· Establish continuous improvement goals/objectives

· Identify areas with plant managers to develop lean opportunities for improvements in all plants

· Facilitates and leads the continuous improvement process by identifying training needs and provide training in problem solving methodology, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, etc.

· Lead Kaizen projects with process engineers, plant managers, production staff, engineering, and quality to establish and implement process improvements

· Develop data bases and track improvements resulting from process changes

· Ensure open communication throughout all plants by keeping the operations team informed of project status an ensure coordination of LEAN activities

· Assure sustainability

· Lead and manage CI meetings

· Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to prioritize.
  • Ability to work well independently or with a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Associate degree or equivalent experience

· Certified in Lean Principles or equivalent
