Workforce Director

Mike has been the Workforce Director for BLAEDC since 2016, working with businesses in the Brainerd Lakes area to conduct workforce trainings and offer executive level recruitment. As a lifelong Brainerd resident Mike is engrained into the community in several capacities. Mike is a graduate of the Lakes Area Leadership Group, Past President of LANG, Past Chair of the Brainerd Lakes Chamber Ambassador Committee, Currently serves on the Brainerd YMCA board, Smiles for Jake board, Brainerd Noon Rotary’s current International Committee Chair, CLC Foundation board, CLC Business Education/IT Committee and a member of several workforce related alliances. In his off-time Mike enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and playing softball. Mike is married to Kristi Westbrock the GM/CEO of CTC in Brainerd and has one daughter, Emily.
